Building Hope in Kalispell

By September 4, 2025October 2nd, 2025News, News Position 3

A new construction project is underway in Kalispell that will provide 18 affordable homes for families with children at risk of homelessness or emerging from homelessness. The Samaritan House development will also include units reserved for disabled individuals and those suffering or recovering from domestic violence, creating a safe and supportive place to call home.

NeighborWorks Montana is proud to support this project by providing a $2.5 million line-of-credit loan, which allows for grant reimbursements during the construction phase and gives additional time for ongoing fundraising to meet the total project cost.

This marks the first phase of several planned expansions to the Samaritan House campus. Future plans include adding a community building and dedicated housing for veterans, further strengthening the safety net for vulnerable populations in the Flathead Valley.

By expanding access to affordable housing and wraparound support, Samaritan House is creating more than just homes—it’s building stability, opportunity, and hope for the future.
