Help Us Cultivate Leaders!

By March 20, 2022March 30th, 2022News, News Position 1, Uncategorized

You can help us cultivate Montana Resident Owned Cooperative (ROC) leaders by participating in our fundraiser to support leadership educational opportunities!

Through our resident owned community program, NeighborWorks Montana guides homeowners through the purchase process and provides continued support to help them successfully manage their manufactured housing communities. The educational opportunities provided at this annual training event help to build individual skills and leadership capacity, which not only strengthen individuals and their families, but entire communities.

The ROC Summit will take place this fall and is open to all of the 600+ residents of the 15 resident owned communities in Montana at no charge to the residents. The funds we raise through this fundraiser will be crucial in helping us at NWMT continue to offer this powerful experience and training.

About the Fundraiser

Today through May 20 when you make a purchase through www.botanicalinterests.com, NWMT will receive 35% of the profits which will be directly used for the training event for residents this fall. Any purchase from Botanical Interests will qualify for the fundraiser. Please be sure to enter promo code NWMT2022 at check out.

About the ROC Program

A resident owned community is a manufactured home community that is owned by the residents who live in the community. Resident homeowners form a corporation to own and operate the community. The corporation is democratically-managed, with one vote per household, and the day-to-day operations are overseen by a member-elected board of directors.

We have helped 15 resident owned communities form in Montana with 606 homes, attracting over $21.9 million in acquisition financing and $12 million in infrastructure investment. With our partner, ROC USA, there over 280 in 18 states nationally. Resident ownership is a proven-successful approach for housing preservation and community development.
