Thank you to all those who attended and supported the 2026 Montana Housing Partnership Conference! Together with the Montana Department of Commerce and the administratively attached Montana Board of Housing, we hope you found your time with us at Fairmont Hot Springs to be full of learning and connection.
A theme that organically rose to the top of many discussions this year centered on partnerships—how the work we do in affordable housing would not be possible without them. And although the road ahead feels uncertain much of the time, we can continue to build resilience in the face of uncertainty, both personally and professionally, as Mandy Fabel inspires us to do.
On behalf of the Montana Housing Partnership, we extend our sincere thanks to all our conference attendees and sponsors for your continued engagement and support. We are also excited to announce a few changes for the future!
Following many discussions, the steering committee has decided to shift from an annual in-person conference each spring to a biennial conference alternating with the state of Montana’s legislative schedule. This means our next in-person conference will be held in the spring of 2028.
While we know attendees may be disappointed with this change, the Montana Housing Partnership is dedicated to providing ways for housing professionals, policymakers, developers, and advocates to meaningfully connect. This change will allow us to expand opportunities for professional development, networking, and peer-to-peer exchange on an on-going basis.
We look forward to sharing more information soon about upcoming Montana Housing Partnership activities!
