Step 1: Contact Montana Homeownership Network for Homebuyer Education class information and schedules in your area.
Step 2: Complete Homebuyer Education. MHN classes meet national quality standards.
Step 3: Choose a local MHN Lender and get a sense of how much house you can afford. Lenders are the link to special first-time homebuyer down payment and mortgage loans.
Step 4: Look for a house that fits within what you can afford. MHN Realtors also specialize in working with first-time homebuyers and special loan products.
Step 5: Work with your Realtor to obtain a Buy/Sell Agreement.
Step 6: Get a Home Inspection done on the house you want to purchase.
Step 7: Work with your lender to complete the loan process.
Step 8: Move into your home!
Step 9: MHN is there for post-purchase help as well.
