Affordable housing is important for all Montanans because it is a key to economic development. NeighborWorks Montana currently supports the Montana Economic Developers Association housing information website and is promoting state funding of the Housing Montana Fund. NWMT has developed manufactured homes in Shelby and Ronan and has homes for sale in Shelby. For residents of manufactured housing communities, NeighborWorks Montana is a Certified Technical Assistance Provider for ROC-USA; a national group promoting the purchase of manufactured housing communities by the residents of the community. NWMT can help residents organize and fund the purchase of the park which will stabilize their rents and give them control over park decisions. |

NeighborWorks Montana works throughout the state to help local communities and non-profit agencies develop and preserve affordable and workforce homes. Without homes for workers, businesses cannot expand or relocate to Montana and local government cannot fill key public safety jobs.
